Special Church Conference
January 11, 2023 | 7-8pm
We are having a special church conference to determine
if Riverview UMC will continue in the United Methodist Church
or leave the denomination. All are welcome to attend the meeting. Only active members are welcome to vote. You must be present at the meeting to vote. The Special Church Conference will be held at Faith on JS. (341 Jefferson Street, Rochester PA).

Ash Wednesday | Special Service
February 22 | 7pm
Ash Wednesday is the traditional beginning of the season of Lent. Lent is the forty days leading up to Easter. Lent is meant to be a time of self-reflection, repentance for sin, fasting as a way to grow in spiritual hunger. We will be celebrating Ash Wednesday with several neighboring churches. The service will be hosted at New Brighton United Methodist

YARD-CROSS MINISTRIES
Two of our dear members, Paul Vavro, and his wife Pam have been faithful in following God's call on their life. The Vavro's started a ministry called "Yard-Cross" where they make basic wooden crosses and distribute them for free. If you

drive through Beaver County, you will likely see several of the many thousands of wooden crosses that the Vavros have built and given away. Many of them have been given away at the corner of our church building.
MISSIONS GIVING
AS A CHURCH WE WANT TO BE GENEROUS
IN HELPING THE COMMUNITY
Every month we take up special collections to give to several of the local missions organizations such as "Tiger Pause" and "Hose of Hope." We also collect money to donate to the "Deeply Rooted, Upward Reaching" campaign. This campaign helps to make Christian summer camp affordable to families. We wholeheartedly support this ministry, knowing that a week of camp can truly transform a life!
