What if I told you that you possess the secret that unlocks what every heart desires?  You, who belong to Jesus, have been given the  exclusive answer to the longing of every heart. Jesus is fulfillment. If you look long enough at a culture, even the most difficult parts of it, you will discover how what people truly long for is found in Jesus.  This, for me, has been one of the great encouragements for evangelism.  We can approach the world, not with a feeling that “here is an idea that I need people to accept,” but with the certainty that I have found the hope that fulfills every desire.  In all these things that people clamor for in our culture: fame, money, sex, identity - they do have an answer in Jesus. For as the apostle Paul says, “the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the Lord’s people. 27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.” (Colossians 1:26-27). For this series, we will reflect on four areas where Jesus is the fulfillment of felt human needs.
